Reliable delivery, free standard shipping on orders over $50 when you sign in


At Metric Marine, we believe ordering marine and industrial supplies should be straightforward—especially when it comes to shipping. Our goal is to provide clear, upfront shipping costs with no surprises at checkout.



Free Standard Shipping

Customers with a registered MetricMarine.com account receive free standard ground shipping on most orders over $50, shipped to a single address within the contiguous United States.

Please note that certain oversized, heavy, or specialty items may require additional delivery charges due to carrier requirements. These charges are clearly disclosed on the product page, in your shopping cart, and during checkout so you know exactly what to expect before placing your order.


Orders Under $50

For logged‑in customers placing an order under $50 (before tax), a non‑refundable $5 shipping and handling fee applies when shipping to one address within the contiguous United States.

This fee does not apply to items that already require a special freight or delivery surcharge.
Orders containing only surcharge‑eligible items will be billed according to the applicable delivery method.


Orders $50 and Above

Orders totaling $50 or more before tax qualify for free standard ground shipping, provided:

  • The order ships to one address
  • The destination is within the contiguous United States
  • The items do not require special handling or freight services

Guest Checkout

Orders placed without a Metric Marine account may be subject to shipping charges, especially on orders under $75. Creating a free account is the easiest way to unlock free shipping and track your orders.

Shipping Carriers

Metric Marine ships using a variety of trusted carriers depending on item type, size, and destination.
Ownership and risk of loss transfer to the customer once the shipment is tendered to the carrier.


Shipping Exceptions & Special Handling

Some products do not qualify for free shipping, including:

  • Oversized or heavyweight items
  • Products requiring hazardous material handling
  • Freight or special delivery items

Additional fees imposed by carriers (including hazmat or fuel surcharges) are the responsibility of the customer.

Standard shipping rates apply to orders shipped to Alaska and Hawaii.


Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Shipping

Metric Marine ships hazardous materials by ground service only at this time.

  • We do NOT ship hazardous materials overnight or by air freight
  • This restriction is due to strict regulatory requirements, specialized labeling, and carrier compliance standards
  • Expedited and air shipping options are not available for hazmat products

All hazardous materials are shipped in accordance with applicable transportation regulations using approved ground shipping methods.


International & P.O. Box Orders

At this time, Metric Marine ships only within the United States, including Alaska and Hawaii.

  • International orders are not accepted
  • We are unable to ship to P.O. Box addresses

Manufacturer & Third‑Party Fulfilled Items

Some products ship directly from the manufacturer.

  • Shipping timelines vary and are shown on the product page
  • Expedited shipping is not available for manufacturer‑shipped items

Once your order ships, you’ll receive an email confirmation with tracking details.


Expedited Shipping

Expedited shipping is available for select items under the following conditions:

  • Orders must be placed Monday–Friday before 3:00 PM local time
  • Packages must weigh less than 150 lbs
  • Items cannot contain hazardous materials
  • Shipments move on business days only (no weekend or holiday processing)

Saturday delivery is not offered.


Same‑Day Shipping

Same‑day shipping is available on many in‑stock items when orders are placed by 2:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.

Availability varies by product and location—please check the individual product page for eligibility.

 

Estimated Delivery Times

  • 2‑Day Delivery: Available on most qualifying items within the contiguous U.S. when ordered by 4:00 PM local time, Monday–Friday

  • Next‑Day Delivery: Available for select items only; orders must be placed by 4:00 PM local time, Monday–Thursday

    Delivery availability and timing depend on item type and destination.
