Metric Marine has acquired First Choice Marine Supply, uniting decades of marine supply chain expertise and catalog depth into a single sourcing operation to give vessel operators wider product selection, faster service, and better communication from the industry experts they already know.
Over the coming months, Metric Marine will bring the two operations together with continuity of service as the priority. First Choiceās brand, team, and facilities will be retained and their operations integrated with Metric Marineās. The combined company will continue to invest in inventory, systems, and staff as itĀ grows across the cruise, commercial, and inland marine markets, and views the acquisition as a long-term commitment to the industry it serves.
Customers will benefit from:
ā¢ A broader combined catalog across technical, safety, environmental, and provisions categories
ā¢ Easy, fast shopping via direct online purchasing or same-day quotes
ā¢ Deeper inventory of high-demand items, with faster lead times
ā¢ Expanded technical support from a larger combined team
ā¢ Improved communication and order status transparency
ā¢ Last-mile service across a wider geography
ā¢ Personal service and transparent order status from the same familiar contacts
ā¢ Continuity on open orders and existing commitments
Both companies have grown over the decades by winning the same kind of customer: vessels who need the right part precisely when they need it. Bringing the two catalogs into one operation will compound what each did well, shorten lead times on frequently ordered items, and stand up a single supplier able to handle larger and more complex requirements without losing the personal service that earned both companies their reputations.
